We have an exciting opportunity for a Fashion Design Trainer to join our team and inspire the next generation of designers. If you have a strong background in fashion design and a desire to educate and mentor aspiring fashion enthusiasts, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive fashion design courses to students of varying skill levels.
  • Teach students about fashion design principles, including garment construction, pattern making, sketching, fabric selection, and fashion illustration.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to students on their design projects, helping them develop their creative skills and refine their design concepts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the fashion industry and incorporate them into the curriculum.
  • Organize workshops, guest lectures, and industry visits to expose students to real-world fashion design experiences.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students’ creativity and supporting their personal and professional growth.
  • Assess student performance through evaluations, projects, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the development of the fashion design program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a fashion designer or fashion design instructor.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion design principles, garment construction techniques, pattern making, and fashion illustration.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach and mentor students.
  • Passion for fashion design and a keen eye for aesthetics and trends.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methodologies to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required.
